... revolution that has happened in India, while I was sleeping. I thought it was all only in the main metros, but by now, every mid size town I have passed by has a big mall.

Today was a short simple drive of just 250 kms. Taking a breather before two days of really tough and very long drives that are in store. The tarmac has run out now. From now on, the road will do complete justice to the title of my blog. In fact the brackets around potholes should ...

... We were wrecked tired when we arrived at the hotel but it was still earlyish so we decided to go for a little walk in our new neighbourhood. I definitely experienced culture shock while Craig seemed to be just fine enjoying the madness. In the bloodbath, she lost control and started killing anyone who came her way. There was chaos all around. To stop her, Lord ...

... camera phones. In the mist of it all its amazing just to see how people with so little just get on with life. Men and women brushing their teeth and washing their whole bodies by the streets water pump, kids playing cricket in the allyways looking so happy, no space being unused. We headed to the south of the city for more sightseeing, going to south street cemetery, a strange grave yard used during the British Raj with its strange ...

... excellent reviews. We headed back to our 16nzd room and asked if they had other rooms. Lucky us, we could move to another room as some people had recently cancelled. The next room was much better but still not that great. Ah well only a couple of days until we leave we will just get over it! After realising that wifi in Kolkata was either in cafés, expensive hotels or non-existent, we reverted back to our Lonely Planet books to see what Kolkata had to offer. ...
