From there, we headed west on Route 90 traveling along the NY State Thruway, down Route 271 to the Ohio Route 80 interstate. Enough about roads.

... to a great night had by all. Our hosts, Conrad and RuthAnn and family, have lived in this idyllic little corner of the world for nearly 20 years. Conrad has operated his auto parts recycling business at nearby Alliance for nearly 40 years. RuthAnn is a long serving Teacher, High School Principal, and now School Administrator. Two of their friends include Paul, a retired mailman (the best kind according to now a keen biker, fisherman and traveller). ...

It's a pretty long drive from home to Youngstown; took us about 8 hours, including stops. Arrived in plenty of time to rest up a bit, though, before heading out to the ballgame. This week's fare: A-Ball. The game was between the Mahoning Valley Scrappers (Class A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians) and the Brooklyn Cyclones (or BKLYN, as they spell it on their jerseys--Class A affiliate of the New York Mets). You may recall that ...
