... would be the term I would use. On June 9th we arrived in Walker, Minnesota. It is lush and beautiful here. We spent the afternoon relaxing in the pool and planning out our next couple of weeks. We are headed to Itasca State Park today for some exploring. There are miles and miles of paved bike trails in this area, so I know we will be busy on the ...

Traveled today from Grand Portage, MN to Bemidji, MN. On the way, we missed Betty's Pies. The parking lot was packed full, no place for the truck and coach.

Bemidji is the home of Paul Bunyan and his blue ox Babe. We checked out the statue by Lake Bemidji while on our way to dinner. We will spend the overnight here and head to Detroit Lakes, MN tomorrow.

    Happy Trails,

Going through the channel was a bit rough, as the high water level lifted our boat really close to the bridges we needed to pass under. It was a challenge, as we laid and crouched down in the bottom of the boat, but we managed to barely get through. We spent ...

... have the morning off (you know, they've been working so hard!). We caught 8 perch off of Star Island in what we have now labeled "Star Bush" and "The Cove" on our GPS. I wouldn't exactly call them "hot spots" yet, but with the wind we had today, and only two lines in the water, we didn't do too bad. The ride home was very choppy and a little wet. If you want to know how we spent our afternoon, just read the four ...
