Our flight route back to the U.S. Was pretty much a reversal of the outbound trip, and we were fortunate enough to find clear weather along the entire route. A few building cumulus clouds here and there, but generally, nothing to get in our way. The view from the air over the Bahamas in amazing. The color of the water, the low ...

Doesn't hurt to be leaving the beach so much when beach weather has left us first!

... After dressing we headed to a familiar KFC for lunch and ate it in the van to protect us from the misty wind. For lunch we parked near the boat launch at the Titusville bridge. We watched a grandma pull in slimy generic fish after slimy generic fish. They seemed to be some sort of evil little flounder. From here we headed across the lagoon to Merritt Island NWR. This is one of the greatest places in the country. It abuts the Kennedy Space Center and is a buffer zone in case ...

    Week 2

A travel blog entry by gholson2010 on Feb 08, 2011

This is week 2 of the great adventure. Sunday was the Super Bowl Sunday tailgate party. Snacks hot dogs and of course CORN HOLE, seems to be the addiction around here. I suck at it. We stayed at the party for about 2 hours then left, so we could watch the game at home.

Monday was a weird weather day. It was warm and very windy and tornado warnings up near Orlando. Eventually we got a little rain, but all in all we have had nice weather. This was a good ...
