    Yet another beautiful sunny day in Minneapolis. Started out the day by sitting in the porch and watching a couple of young squirrels playing up the tree in the garden opposite.     ... hard to navigate the city streets or even see where you were going. It got really dark, lightning was flashing everywhere and the downpour was torrential but after some anxious moments we somehow found the hotel and in one piece! We had to go straight to the bar for a stiff drink.

    ... walkways on the second floor (above traffic). So, with a little planning, you can get across the downtown without going outside via the skyways. Brilliant! They even have maps in them showing all the connections so you can figure out how to get where you want to go. It’s like a giant Habitrail, if you remember those.
