We drove on to Chimney Rock and took the elevator up 26 floors inside the adjacent mountain. It had been closed for service but had just opened again 3 days ago. You quickly remember why travel is an experience in chaos and long, long airline sky and terminal time.
Our plane was about an hour late leaving Madrid. Good thing, pilot picked up speed and arrived in Charlotte, South Carolina at our appointed time. Really nice aisle seats across from each other with plenty of leg room. (Of course there was we had already paid extra for seat upgrades). Everyone had their own little mobile seat unit with ...
