Elizabeth and Janet had gone off in search of a hotel. The rooms were booked at many places and were very expensive but we Did finally find 3 affordable rooms. ... br> We had some unfinished business with New Orleans so after picking up the car we drove to the oldest cemetery to have a look around. It was sooooo hot though that we didn't last long before seeking the sanctuary of our cars Air Con. We were literally beading with sweat within a minute of leaving the car. How do people live here?? More to the point how do people work here? We saw some builders labouring away in the sun, insane.

One week from today I will walk out of the office, start running around like crazy because I just remembered things I still need to get done and then start packing. Then it will be early ...

... three hour drive into New Orleans so we should be there by noon. Our campsite is very nice. Has water and electrical outlets right next to the picnic table and even has a shower in the bathroom. I'm not complaining though because with the humidity I will take any air conditioning I can ...

... no hot water! Surprise of the day, we only had to pay $7/night...for the life of us, we can't figure out how the office came up with that figure. Sherry, the good person that she is, tried explaining the math, but they insisted. $14. Ok. Thanks. We like Louisiana math but I don't think I should try using it at work! ;-) Early night tonight. Long road trip tomorrow, will be gone by daybreak. Next stop, Roswell, New Mexico! Will be on the lookout for aliens!!! Thanks for ...
