    ... s ABSOLUTE favorite- chocolate marshmallow ripple! We ate too much but not all of it, (really, not all of it). A quick trip into the visitor center and off we go! Well with a few more stops... a big sailboat marina, one of the Mississippi River locks, a fantastic Buena Vista photo opportunity, the Nelson Creamery where we bought some cheese curds, (they squeak on our teeth) and dinner in Trempealeau. Not a lot according to a map, but a lot for trip ...

    Heading for St. Louis by following the Illinois River south
    from Spring Valley IL . Stopped at Echo Bluff Park near Spring Valley just to see what the new park looked like. Lots of mosquito’s and a disc golf course but a rough park with few amenities.

    The Peoria Riverfront museum was well worth the trip into Peoria. I went to see the Jacquin exhibit on Outsider Art. Outsider Art is Art produced by artists without formal training, especially by ones who work in an idiosyncratic style and are relatively isolated from mainstream artistic trends. It often takes on the look of art created with a child like hand to art.

    ... a religious ceremony....he slammed that wine), it was off the wedding reception. It was held in a building in the main part of the park. Ceiling-to-floor windows were on the two sides facing the animals. While we were eating, elk were bathing in the pond behind us....then bounding around the prairie.
