      ... Whitby we decided to get off the freeway looking for a smaller road but the alternate roads were through suburban areas. we did see the GM plant though. Back on the highway at Oshawa. Off again at Bowmanville to stop at the information centre where we were able to get a road map of Ontario.

      We were given information about highway 7 which is the Trans Canadian Highway and much more picturesque.

      ... Harbor . Mick and I had no problem with customs as we had been thru it in Alaska but we had decided to stay aboard. I did a load of washing and packed our bags, it is getting harder as we seems to have grown in the clothes area. All done we walked the decks again, good exercise. At 4.30 we all met in the Explorers bar where we had a farewell drink and nibbles, we leave the ship in the morning. We got the accnt it was $1082. Ok!       Well, first whole day in Ottawa, so I decided to go and see the Canadian War Museum - their version of our one down in Canberra, but larger (after all, their wars go back before 1788, even before 1770) ...

      Lots of interesting stuff. Lots of uniforms, weapons and vehicles - unfortunately a lot of the smaller stuff was, as usual, behind flash-reflecting safety glass and so it was pointless taking photos ... and a chunk of ...

      ... words "bone marrow" are mentioned entirely too frequently for my liking, I wanted to eat somewhere she has eaten. In that spirit, I went to town. (that's the name of the restaurant, I didn't just go to town).
