    Day 75. Saturday 8 August 2015

We finally had a rest day – sort of. I did the washing and cleaned the van and Linton did a few repairs. Read and went for a swim in the pool. We really enjoyed this day and I think we needed it.

I have had an issue with one of my cameras. Need to find some photos of Charleston. Next blog, I hope.

They got there about 8pm so we made a great decision to get off the road when we did. We really liked this Hampton Inn and should stay there again. Once ...

... for quick lunch and the continued on. In about a mile, we came to the next footbridge and turned left to get on River Trail. Shortly after getting on this trail, we met up with John and some friends who had camped here the night before. There were very few other people in the park and yet we managed to run into our friends deep in the woods. John took us on a quick detour off the trail to see where they had camped - and ...

... We got about 20 mpg...not bad for all those mountains in WV!

We made it to our first hotel...Days Inn in Orangeburg, SC. It was a nice place and the price was right. We pulled into the hotel lot and saw several vehicles from Ohio. We were pooped...I don't think I have gone to sleep before 10:00 in a long time!

This morning at breakfast, we spoke with a couple who were ...
