On awakening we were greeeted with about 15cm of fresh snow, Sorry Utah you didn't put on a show this trip! After breakfast i was initiated with the snow shovel..... I'm sure I've seen petrol powered snow blowers in the stores but anyway, I diligently shovelled snow whilst Janine supervised.

We think we have solved the riddle of the crops in the field which I called oats. They were beans. We have seen fields with green/yellowing leaved plants which we knew were beans but the brown stalked plants had us beaten. Today we could stop and look closely - they were beans ready for harvesting. There are obviously different varieties planted as some are quite a golden colour while others are a straw brown.
Tomorrow, we head for St Louis and north or north east.

Dinner at the Peking Palace where one dish was enough to feed us both. Very cheap meal $8.10. Nice to have some veggies, had Canton Pork Chop Suey.

Arrived early and got our pick of sites. We got this one right on the lake. At dusk, the family of skunks would come out to enjoy the fallen crab apples on the tree in our site. The sunsets were gorgeous! We met Puff the Purple Dragon on the beach! Loved the water tower.
