There have been several milestones along the campaign trail that have had great significance for me, but none greater than today's activity:
I filed for office with the Nebraska Secretary of State today. That means my name will be on the May 13 ballot.

Abraham Lincoln is just about everybody's favorite U.S. President, and I love it that our capital city is named for him.
It was great to be in Lincoln on President Lincoln's birthday today. I attended the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce's annual luncheon at the Cornhusker.
Sat with supporters, saw a lot of old friends and met new ones.
It was a "two-fer" day for home and garden shows in east-central Nebraska!
First, I visited Aurora's show. It was great of my local supporters to set up a Dinsdale booth that distributed a lot of our literature, and gave me a chance to talk with many Nebraskans.
Then we traveled to the Nebraska Builders home show in Lincoln at the Event Center, and talked about the issues with many more voters.
