    ... and Grandpa as we left. We headed back to the coach, hooked it up, and headed down the road.

    Our first stop is Lincoln, NE for the night. We got to the campground just in the knick of time as there were a number of thunderstorms in the area. Sounds like there will be some heavy weather in the area during the night. It should be interesting.

    ... lot of history buried there. It is the final resting place for cowboys, drifters and settlers who helped settle Ogallala. The bodies were placed in canvas sacks and were lowered into shallow graves. The graves were marked with a wooden headboard. We found out that there are many Boot Hill Cemeteries in the west.

    ... as we tailgated in the Nebraska sunshine, shook hands and introduced our campaign. Huskers could easily have won the game, but made too many fumbles. Proud of their fight, anyway.

    A lot of energy and great questions from the UNL College Republicans group on campus. Appreciated the invitation to speak to the leaders of tomorrow on Nov. 20. I'm a proud alum and serve on the board of the N.U. Foundation, so it is very pleasing to see these bright young students doing so well.
