When arriving at Lincoln, we had spent a total of $106.43 in gas at a Shell and Chevron. When we ran out of food in our ice chest, we ate at Deny's Diner for some good old American breakfast for $12.27. Buddy saw a flyer in the restaurant inviting people to visit the Nebraska State Capital. It was cool to see the amazing architecture in which the building was built. Inside there were historical dates carved into the limestone walls.
... Rio Grande River. The landing was a little rough but we didn't tip over so that was good. We has a mimosa toast in a park at the end. This afternoon we went to Petroglyph National Monument and did a little hiking. We went browsing in Old Town Albuquerque and went to happy hour at a nice restaurant. A lot of energy and great questions from the UNL College Republicans group on campus. Appreciated the invitation to speak to the leaders of tomorrow on Nov. 20. I'm a proud alum and serve on the board of the N.U. Foundation, so it is very pleasing to see these bright young students doing so well.
