... homes, especially on the lake, are immense, and gorgeous. We ate at a seafood place on the water in downtown, and the food, unfortunately was ordinary.

I did write my blog tonight, but the Internet connection at the hotel was not working, and there was nobody there to fix it. We went 10 miles in either direction looking for a hot spot, but on Sunday night we got nowhere.

All-in-all, it was a better day than you would have expected in the rain
Skaneateles, New York, United States captnoindustryWell, today we leave the only home I have known. It is a wonderful city and I am proud to have been born in such a beautiful place and to have been welcomed to the world by the great friends here. Clearly my parents loved it here as they have been rather sad about leaving. My good friend Nadya even came by so say good ...
Ithaca, New York, United States matt~beccaWe arrived at M&T's cottage on Seneca Lake Friday evening after a nice dinner with my Dad and Lorraine. Evidently we followed the rain all the way from Cleveland because we had very little rain on our drive and the visitors from the East had rain ...
Penn Yan, New York, United States sgiordano... today were products of the countries fascination with my two wheeled friend. After the great tour we had a fantastic lunch at Whals Drive In, great hamburgers and "Root Beer Floats". Even though we had 94 miles into a head wind that was 10 to 15 mph, and we got to climb almost 5,000 feet it was still a wonderful although long day.
Canandaigua, New York, United States bot989... because we ended up exactly where we wanted to be.

We started at Lamoreaux Landing winery and ended at the Red Newt with 5 wineries in total. In the middle we stopped for lunch at the Stone Cat which had been recommended to us by a couple at the B&B. The scenery around these wineries is amazing with Seneca Lake in the background. The vines stretch miles going down slopes toward the lake and running alongside the ...

They are so much more flavorful and fresh-tasting.
- Took the Robster to the Ithaca Airport. This establishment is approximately the size of a small elementary school. We made multiple jokes about the size of Robie’s airplane. Robie was hoping that it didn’t have rubberband propellers.
- As soon as she walked in, Robie ...
Ithaca, New York, United States cgibbons18... of driving. Three hours got us to the Canadian border. It is easier to get into Canada than to get out. A quick look at the passports and we were in! The geography of that part of Canada is very similar to the terrain of parts of Midwest United States: rather flat. We thought we might be able to find a rest area to pull off and have lunch but nothing presented itself so we ...
Ithaca, New York, United States gabbeec... had, she: " Oooohh, nooo, would you like another one?" After that we drove along the lake, did some wine tasting, the wines were not very good, maybe 1 Riesling and 1 Syrah made me want to check the label but that's about it. all right but nothing to write home about (no pun intended). Then back into town, scoping for a locals' hang out. And I found it all right. Pinky's on Castle Street. Just about 4 people at the bar. Savvy, the bartender (real ...
Geneva, New York, United States hendrika... that they were working there in return for housing, and that we should go inside to get situated with "Sage". We were warmly greeted at the door by Grandma Pat, the eldest of this "Family". She took us upstairs and showed us our room. It was a quaint little country style room with posters of Fairies, shelves of crystal, and a bear foot tub. When we were all situated we returned outside to explore a little bit more. We took a stroll ...
Groton, New York, United States satchbrian... watch a band from Washington D.C called Scythian. Half the band are of Ukrainian descent which gave them their sound of a mixture of Eastern European, American and Irish. The Irish descent crowd went crazy and were dancing like mad. Even Bill was doing his best impersonation of Michael Flatley. It probably wasn't our thing but ...
