        • Easy drive but really didn't get far?!..despite explicit instructions I managed to get turned around ( ie lost)leaving Kitchener just as I did entering it!!!...not an easy "on/ off" from 401!!

      ... half of the day cleaning and packaging the produce we had harvested. This mostly meant cutting the roots and cleaning the dirt from any underground-growing veggies and dumping the leafy greens into tubs of water to clean them, as well and make it easier to pick out grass and insects.       Had to get up early today because I was going to school. Bit of a change after not teaching all this year. I spent the day in Shannon's classroom today which is a year 2 class and it was really interesting to see how things are done at her school. Staff room discussion was very similar to Aussie staff rooms. It's only their 4th week back but lots of comments about assessment, evaluation - paper trails etc. Sound familiar? ...
