    We rise early and stumble out of bed at 6:30 and hit the showers first thing. We pack our things and head down for the hostel's complimentary breakfast. There are bagels, toast options, waffles, cereal, oatmeal, coffee and more. So we sit down and enjoy our breakfast.     ... Paul and Minneapolis. I then headed North on Interstate 35E and Interstate 35. Ahead I could see a thunderstorm brewing, and eventually it and I met, with strong winds, rain and lots of lightening. 100 miles further North and as I pulled into a layby for the night it was still with me. I noticed that all the State parks, campgrounds & rest stops in Minnesota were closed, apparently due to a budget dispute in the State Congress. Slept in the car in the layby.
