        We got up early so that Karsten was at the FAL at 7:00 am. We had an excellent breakfast. He was back quicker than expected, so that Eric and I ended up only seeing the front of the Mardi Gras House. We checked out of the hotel and headed straight for the USS Alabama.         ... hotel, I had to laugh. Hubby booked the same hotel we stayed at 18 years ago when we were on our way to New Orleans.         It is a self-guided tour and they had a visitor tour guide (a paper with info on it, not a real live tour guide) that you could take to help you navigate the various areas of the ship.
