As I was finalizing my Italian accommodations today I became extremely nervous about this trip. It is definitely out of my comfort zone and really didn't hit me that this trip is actually happening until now. Why am I doing this?!? I was truly freaking out all day. At one point at looked at how to cancel my flight with my trip insurance. eeeek! But now, I suddenly feel calm again. I know why I chose to go to Italy alone. I want to see ...

Well, it's official. We're going to Kenya!.

We bought our airline tickets and fly out on August 18 at 4pm. We arrive in Amsterdam early the next morning where we get to spend the next 14 hours on layover. It's the night before the big trip and I'm so excited, nervous, anxious and tired! I've been packing for 2 days only to find out that I've packed way too much and my bag is over the weight limit. So I'm now un-packing. Surprise surprise.

I'm so thankful for all my mom's help with our travel plans and for coming over tonight to get me and Ivan all set with our packing (and ...

Leaving home in just a few minutes. This is going to be a long trip -- three weeks until I return. Kissing my cats and my Jonathan. I know Jonathan has his sights on my office, and I can expect total upheaval when I return. Everything rearranged. I should know better than to ...
