... After some chatting and a little more football on the box, I crashed and don't remember my head hitting the pillow. The next morning we made our way back to DC after some brekky with the family and that night, Ben and Gretchen took me out to a local Thai spot. ... night and hit it hard the following day. We both woke earlier than our alarm very excited, to go see the famous sights of Washington. This was until we drew back the curtains to see a monsoon and find that the temperature had dropped to 5 degrees! After a few hours staring out the window we soon realised this weather wasn't going to pass, so we put on every piece of warm clothing we had (including our pak-a-macs!) and went for it! We arrived downtown ...

In some regards, outsiders may sometimes have stereotypical views about America as a country and generalise about it's people.. To sum it up: "Worldwide in America". Prior to leaving home, America was a country I've had mixed feelings about spending 3months in. Over the past 6 months we have met a few Americans along the way who have broken these stereotypical views. Like anything, it's often the unknown that paints these views in our head. What we have noticed, maybe ...
