... was an overcast day thus far. We crossed from the Eastern time zone to Central time zone at 1 pm eastern time in Bark River, MI. By the time we touched down on solid land again Mike was white knuckled and sweating. I was absolutely silent. That doesn't happen very often.
The rain and wind finally let up around 11:00 or so. We stopped for lunch at a restaurant and while there asked the people next to us if they could recommend a campground to stay in. They sent up back up highway 53 to Northwood Shores.

Day 63 (June 18) -- Well, we gained an hour today as we entered into Wisconsin. Started the day in Christmas, Michigan after a bit of a restless sleep. Shortly after hitting the bed there was some loud, anxious talking outside and it appeared to be coming from the woman in the unit next to ours in the casino RV parking on the phone. I strapped one directly to the beta bag and the other was strapped to the rack itself. They never moved and kept everything clean and dry. Answer boots: Really good armor protection! I had a few large sticks and branches jump off the road when riding hitting the boot square in the shin and I knew I hit something but didn't realize it was big until I looked back. ...
