We are in bed, leaving at 2:30 AM!! Flying from Fort Myers to Newark, then on to Duesseldorf on Lufthansa. Packing was a nightmare given that the weather will be all over the place. Still doesn't feel real. We are really looking forward to our adventure! (And hope the Lightning win the Stanley Cup!) Sitting in airport in Fort Myers. Got here early but that's ...

So I boarded the Amtrak train in Lakeland and enjoyed the experience. The windows were wide and the seats big. Wait, maybe I meant that the other way around. Where was Ms. Marcos? Mrs. Howell? Where the students like we were today? Oh well, coffee is ...

... to that. We land on a remarkably non-built up runway. Very, very green with very few buildings - nothing like the Heathrow airport I left behind. Unusually, I'm one of the first ones up with my hand luggage at the ready. I normally wait until everyone else is off so that I can take my time. Mr Abercrombie & Fitch stands up ahead of me looking for all the world like someone has attempted to disembowel him. A good look for his arrival in the Sunshine State. We ...

... consumption of alcohol. I will blame that anyway. I have attached a photo of Montana and Toby to remind us all how wonderful (and beautiful) youth is! Our second night with Garda and John saw us at a Spanish Restaurant, named The Colombian ,trying our hand at Tapas in preparation for Spain. Some really tasty food and not so tasty Sangria which we fixed with a bottle of ok tasting Californian C******nay! Amazing what a bit of mix and match can do! Another ...
