We were supposed to finish the day at the Fairway Ford auto dealership, but when we got there, the employees weren't really sure what we were supposed to do (one guy said he didn't think we were supposed to be there until tomorrow). But they were nice enough about it and after John made a balloon animal for a little girl whose parents had just purchased a car from the dealership, took photos, and said ...
... who opened it early and had cookies and bottles of water for everyone who came by for a clown show. They had contacted all of the babysitters and daycares in the area and by the time we were ready to get started, there were over 23 kids there! John entertained, handed out balloons (helium ones that the restaurant also provided), cookies, and bottles of water, and after everyone went back to daycare, they treated us to lunch!
... one stack. Did not make coffee this morning, so stopped - and not only got the best cup of strong black coffee, but also a 'honey' and a 'sweetie'. And the clerk had plenty of endearments left for the man behind me. Went by lots of wildlife marshes and preserves, saw my first windmill sighting in the town of Oregon, which also had a 'gentlemen's club', and advertised free shuttle buses. I had to wonder - shuttling to or from? ...
