I replaced the broken "D" ring with a metal carabiner for the time being until I find a suitable (and more reliable) replacement.

    ... didn't stock them, what a blow for Andrew, so we went to DSW which is like a brand warehouse for shoes but they were not right, he had his mind set on these.     ... little delay we finally have the required documents and she has sent them to me, so hopefully I will get them by end of next week at the latest! Then I plan to visit the French embassy on the 10th of October to apply for my visa! If all goes well I should have my visa by the 20th of October and then I can be on my way!
