    Disneyland

... pretty good fun, and not as tame as it looks. Prior to leaving to head across the block to California Adventureland (another Disney Park that has another ticket to buy!) we watched the parade which was very camp and very entertaining.
The only ride we were interested in doing in the other park was the Hollywood Tower - which was broken, so we didn't get to go on it. Instead, Siobhan went on the carousel before we ...

... to name a few. All of the figures in the shop were all made with Lego. There was even Aladdin on a flying carpet and Genie all made out of Lego hanging from the ceiling! Also a life size Incredible Hulk!

We carried on strolling around the mall and then Kelsi had to make her 'last' visit to Saphora! Jordan and I waited outside in the sun - we waited an hour in the end!!

Next was lunch - was hard work waiting ...

I carried my (heavy) Digital SLR camera plus a telephoto lens all the way around the world so this was a great opportunity to use it so I "snapped" with glee and revelled in not feeling like I was holding anyone else up.

We all came together again to look around the Downtown Disney shopping area before returning to Disney California Adventure for the evening light show. Each night Disneyland has ...

... story of the nightmare before Christmas. We had only been on the ride two minutes and it broke down… there we sat slightly suspended in our capsule hoping this wasn’t going to be a premature end to the ride. A quick jolt and back to the darkness and excitement of the ride. Our final ride for the day was Splash Mountain. And it was just that. A mountain with a massive splash at the end. Another log flume style ride, you visit brer rabbit and critters country, ...

... br> I really had forgotten how amazing a Disney park can be. The staff of workers must have to take a happy class to get hired. We never met anyone all day who was not pleasant and helpful. There are many senior workers too.

Since this is the off season, yeah right, the park has shorter hours and only one major event. The parade was at 7 and not to be missed. We staked our good seated viewing at least 45 minutes ...
