... last minute shopping before going to the movies in the afternoon to see Planes - Fire and Rescue, which the kids absolutely loved. The cinema and it's clientele were very dodgy, but we didn't expect much when the tickets were only two dollars each! What an experience - a bigger bunch of freaks and weirdos hadn't gathered in the same place since the Star Wars Cantina scene. At least we made it out alive, and got back to LAX ...

It's 11:38 and the kids are showered and tucked into bed ready to fight another day starting at 8 tomorrow. Other highlights: * Evan telling the kids lies as we went around ...

... it. By noon We were on the road in a Hyundai Elantra. It was very underpowered. The air conditioner was awesome except that we needed earmuffs in the front for a Susan to be cool in the back.

The trip started at 80 degrees at the airport. It was beautiful and sunny. We drove in and round about way west to find apple country. We traveled at least 8 miles through the busy, old parts of San Diego that would not stand out in any favorable way. On to I 8 to hwy ...

Well it seems that last night was a worse sleep than the one before, and waking up was a mission too! We checked out of our hotel in LA and drove to get a coffee to take on our little road trip down to the suburb of Anaheim, Orange County where the Disneyland resort is located. It took us just over an hour to get there as some parts of the freeway were quite jammed up with cars. As we were driving out of LA I looked over to the other side of the freeway and was mind ...
