Nevada [pronounced "Nah-vay-duh"], Missouri. Our plan was to stay in Nevada, MO with the intention of visiting Ft Scott National Historic Site, but it happened to be right in the midst of the government's shut-down. As a result, we explored the small town of Nevada and the Harry S Truman Birthplace State Historic Site in Lamar, MO.

Wednesday morning stop at McD's for wifi and breakfast Then headed for Kansas and the prairie-lands. Staying off the interstates is such fun... more time to see the land.
Wednesday night in Kansas was spent at Tuttle Lake St. Park near the town of Manhattan. The license plates here say "The Little Apple". Another quiet, chilly evening... up early and out to head north toward Nebraska... along state ...
