We took a 45 minute Ferry to Cumberland Island National Seashore which is the only way you can get to this island. It is a very primitive island with limited services. A National Park Ranger took us on a 6 hour van ride and talked about the history of the island going back to the 1500's.

A total rainout day today. Optimistically, we drove to Amelia Island, Florida and Fernandina Beach. I am sure on a sunny day, it would be spectacular. We walked around the quaint town, did some driving sightseeing and had lunch at the beach. It pretty much rained all day, but at least it wasn't cold or windy. Our work is just across the border in Georgia. We are meant to be here a week, but due to unforeseen circumstances it looks as though the plug is going to be pulled on it.
Monday evening we decide to go to dinner will our American colleagues as we all will probably be going home soon. Mill house Kingsland Georgia is the place of choice. I get a great Fillet Steak, followed by a chocolate cake.
