Normally we are running late to the airport. Like when we were going to Paris, we almost missed the plane, no seriously. They were paging us like crazy and we had to sprint to the gate.
Today though, we were on time but of course, the plane delayed. Why is it that when you're running late, the plane is early but when you're running on time, the plane is late? Go figure!!!!
From Minneapolis, we will fly to Chicago, then to Miami and after a 4 ...

I started with the following basic Touring configuration:
Mid 1931 Block bored to .100" oversize, honed for .0035" clearance to piston
Mild porting of the intake ports to round any sharp edges left from the casting process
Mild porting of the exhaust ports to round any sharp corners left from casting and then polishing with fine "flapper" emery cloth

... Pub situated behind home plate on the upper level. Chris was soon befriended by Josh & John local Minnesotans. We enjoyed two "dinger dogs" and then I learned dinger was slang for a home run (my dad will probably be ashamed that I did not already know that one...or maybe its a Minnesota thing)
I drove us back through some more amazing summer roadworks and back to our spider covered tent. Good night spiders!!! :)
If you read my blog about hiking across Isle Royale last year, you'll be surprised to learn I am doing it again. This time alone. I'm taking a different route this time, straight across the island on the Greenstone Ridge trail, which is not nearly as arduous as last year's trek. But to make it harder, after I reach the far side of the island, I'll meet up with Julie, and we'll hike five more days together.
Doing the long hike alone means I get to keep my own pace, pay attention ...
