Eight of us met at Macatawa Legends for Senior Day. Great deal - golf and lunch for $35. Such a beautiful day. Golf not so beautiful. Still had fun. Something about Boots? Back to Schmidts to pick up our stuff, then to Grand Rapids. Doing a Park 'n Fly while we are gone. Good place, will park car here while we are gone. Up early tomorrow. 7:30 flight to Anchorage.

Excited to get to Cape Town, although I have a lot of travel time ahead of me!

-----I owed one more "much thanks" to my friends Joanna, Art, Flora, & Aquiles for the place to stay in Chicago, as I returned home from Athens.
-----Over the years, in strange and beautiful and sometimes scary places far from home, I met many many people who seemingly would've done anything to help me. Thanks, guys.
-----I would especially like to thank the four ...

... a young girl these opportunities of a lifetime have come up. Sometimes it seemed out of nowhere. My parents rarely declined them and as an adult I rarely decline. It's not always easy. Coming up with funds, changing your routine life. But, I live for it! I live for these curve balls, random acts of kindness in my life from above. I live to give back and serve. I live for making new connections ...
