After a grueling five days of driving, it was time to find a nice campground and hang out for a few days. My plan was to stay at the state park on the beach near Destin. But the polar vortex spoiled things, so I found an RV park near Pensacola instead. The temperatures were in the 30's at night, and although it was only in the 50's during the day, at least it was sunny! I enjoyed a walk on the beautiful beach and a couple fantastic sunsets over the ...

Bottlenose dolphins, right off shore! Definitely a top 10 moment! Thomas left for a soccer game back in the city and Aubry stuck around showing us an amazing live oak tree that started growing back into the ground and the Peter Anderson Festival, a craft fest inspired by this amazing potter. We ate fried oreos and ...

... in time change. I was so thankful that the time change happened on the drive home though and not on the way to Destin as I had originally thought. We also hit a lot of rain to the point where I could hardly see where I was going. It was bad. I was glad to make it home safe and sound after white knuckling the steering wheel for hours.
