The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. The breakfast buffet left a little to be desired but overall it had a bed and bathroom and that was all we needed.

In about 9 days I am leaving for San Ramon, Costa Rica. I will be in Costa Rica for five months as I spend a semester studying abroad. I have always dreamed of studying abroad and knew it was something important for me to do. While it is going to be hard to leave my family and the people I care about I know that this adventure will allow me to grow as a person. I am eager to improve my spanish skills and experience the culture. I will be leaving January 16th! I will ...

... experience all on its own. Walking down the hallway to the plane, a man asked me where I was traveling to and when I said Africa he started to laugh and then proceeded to tell me he was heading to Florida and thanked me for giving him "some perspective." His laugh was infectious and really brightened my mood. Once I arrived in Charlotte, I got my hotel room with no issue and rodes the shuttle to my hotel. The hotel shuttle driver was ...

We didn't do much this day, just hung out around the house with his family. We went on a Target trip (super fun) and I tried Cookout. We also watched Beyonce kick butt while packing to go back to Boston. Warning: do not *only* eat hush puppies ...

We went to breakfast with Zach (I got to ride shotgun in Roxy, and got to witness Southern friendliness firsthand), where we all over-ordered and basically died from our food consumption. Visited Whole Foods. Took a trip down the halls of PDS (far too nice), and then hung out at his house. We went to a Charlotte Knights game with his mom (his dad wasn't feeling well), which was super fun. Then we got dinner at a place with great biscuits, and just hung out some ...
