    Just arrived and set up for first time.  This was a large parcel turned into an RV park.  There was gravel and lots of sun!  No trees and 94 degrees hot!  There were no fire pits and no picnic tables.  Most of the people there were living there for work or longer stays.  ...

    ... on my own in Malabo to immerse myself in the linguistic and cultural practices of local Equatoguineans. During these two weeks I will seek an internship with an organization called "The Ladybug Project" which organizes on the ground experiences for students and volunteers. They will place me in a volunteer position with the local community. Their placement includes housing and transportation to and from the airport.

    Build Day number two. Great day. It's hard to believe how quickly time is flying. But it also feels slower, too. When I think about the fact that I only started this a little over a week ago, that just seems crazy. Today was great but so tiring too. For some reason I expected the build days to be a break.
