I've been creeping on other people's random blog posts in order to discover the hidden gems of Korea and to get an insider's scoop on the culture and general way of life. I haven't been creeping very long, but I already found a fair amount of interesting facts & a WHOLE LOT of Korean dishes that I must try. I don't know when I'll have enough time/gastric space to try all the foods that I want to but when there's a will, there's a way ...

... opportunity, resources and love here than I ever could receive as an orphaned Korean child. I don't think about my life in Korea often (I'm so Americanized that I forget that I'm Korean at times), but this impending trip of self-discovery has had me thinking more about my heritage and my extremely fortunate circumstances. Then on Thursday night there was a Spiritual Care Interest Group meeting at 5.30 ...

A travel blog entry by gapyah on Jul 07, 2012

... Amtrak ! The DC metro was pretty organised - a lot like SF, and so, so hot. After a much-needed pit stop in Starbucks and several espresso later I found my way to the 'Navy Yard' stop, also the site of the 'Nationals' Baseball stadium. There was a game on so once again I found myself dragging my (stupid) luggage through noisy crowds and ticket touts. As I turned a corner, as if on cue the instantly recognisable dome of the Capitol appeared on the near horizon. 'Hello DC !' ...

Rob, Colin, Joe, Vinnie, Brendan and I stayed at Colin's two nights before our flight out of DC. Went out in Bel Air. Second night the whole group went to Inner Harbor in Baltimore and Brendan cousin manages a bar and got us free drinks all night. We woke up the next day at 5am.

      "Brendan want 28 ...
