I have picked up some kind of tropical disease, because that's what happens to adventurers - just ask Indiana Jones. It's a very clever disease. it's disguising itself as a common cold, but with a slight twist; and here's the masterstroke - I have a very painful earache with it. I have tried getting whatever's hurting in there out with a stick that i found on the ground but that just made it worse. See, I told you it ...
Billings, Montana, United States hollidayThe Hampton was nice, new and comfortable. We woke this morning, enjoyed the hotel breakfast. We organized our bags and cleaned out the car; tossed out our cooler, food, drinks and utensils then headed for the airport. Billings is another extremely small airport. It was easy to park the rental car and walk to the gate.

Let the all day journey home begin....

We're delayed to Denver, 20 minutes.
Billings, Montana, United States 2knightsabroad... was a nice small airport
and it took no time to find my bag.

Having never met Bart before, and being
a bit too sleep depraved at this point to fully recall his facebook
profile pic, I did the only thing possible: look at all the men
waiting with a quizzical expression and hope one would return it.
Nope. Just some equally puzzled 'stop-staring-at-me' looks, and one
that might have ...
Billings, Montana, United States ab1kenobeWe traveled to billings , because we wanted to get new tires on the truck, the little wear indicators were almost smowing so we thought it would be best to be safe rather than sorry. Because Montana doesnt have any sales tax , its a good state to make big purchases. We researched on the net and it appears that Costco is ...
Billings, Montana, United States brentandjoAs you travel more around a country it is quite obvious that you will learn not necessarily more of its culture, but definately more of its people.. Sadly the more Greyhound buses I take in this country, the more scared I get of its countrys people!

I learnt that Greyhound actually transport criminals and anti-socials and anyone else that gets thrown out of a town, for FREE!
When you leave prison you get a one way ticket- anywhere via Greyhound, if a local ...
Billings, Montana, United States sara.a... which is the first KOA and probably one of the best. It sits among towering pine trees along the Yellowstone River. The lawns are lush and flowers are present on most sites. We're here for only one night because Danny has found a way for us to go to Yellowstone National Park that won't be too far out of our way from our original destination of Banff. Helen has never been to Yellowstone but has always wanted to see it so tomorrow we head further west.
Billings, Montana, United States danandkat... quite pleased with myself. It was a busy road and there were no bushes for cover so I improvised and overcame, and managed to pee in a handy tupperware I had handy - all I could think about while I was waiting for the AAA was how relieved I was that I didn't need the loo anymore! A State Trooper pulled up to check we were OK and the tow truck only took 45 mins or so. Adam from Agave Towing was also a driver in one of the lower ...

Billings, Montana, United States jackies-world... Battlefield National Monument. This was our second visit to Little Bighorn. It is a must see experience. The staff is composed of Native Americans who give a moving account of the battle. You learn about the events that preceded that encounter and the aftermath. The Park Ranger demonstrated the particular uniforms and arms worn by the solders and the dress and arms of the Crow and Lakota peoples.
Billings, Montana, United States leonardgrillI backtracked somewhat to I90 and headed north into Montana, my 39th state, first stop being the Custer Battlefield National Monument. It was fixed up rather nicely and had nice views. There was a small national military cemetery there where I might be able to be buried since I was in the army. It did seem to have a number of Vietnam war dead there.
I guess that was appropriate-to bury the dead from a misbegotten war at the site of one of the worst military ...
