... home, right Kim? LOL…
Anyway, once we left Devils Tower and watched the prairie dogs play, we completely lost cell phone service pretty much for the entire day, with the exception of our lunch time venture to McDonald’s in Spearfish, SD, or as Mara would say “what town are we at right now? Fishbreath?” Well, Spearfish, aka Fishbreath, has about the ...
... had taking pictures of all the wildlife. Maybe i should get a t'shirt that says "Tree hugger and proud of it" or something, or naw, my wolf shirts I bought will probably spell that out. Tomorrow we do another long haul toward home. Then its clean up, laundry, get the dogs, see my boyfriend and get ready for my knee surgery. So the busy period isn't over yet. But at least I had a good time and was able to focus on that and that alone. What a blast.

Staples, Minnesota, United States kayaker902... try to get at least one in each state we travel to as well as the provinces in Canada, I have even found them in the Bahama's. Anyhow, the allergies are kicking back up again, so much for the temporary reprieve. I did manage to finish reading my book on the Chilkoot trail, which I might add was a very insightful book. We stopped at one of the caches which was in New Salem, ND for Sue the largest Holstein cow. Caches ...
Baxter, Minnesota, United States kayaker902... riding, it was almost like we had a free day. we did all the usual "fun" free day things: laundry, internet, and bike maintenance. we also had packages waiting for us because this stop was one of our mail drops. there were boxes and boxes of cookies waiting to be eaten, a package from rei, and even a bag of goodies for each rider put together by one of the ladies in the congregation. in the evening, the ...
Little falls, Minnesota, United States stevevls... I passed though Christine ND, so seeing as I've got a town called Tupper on my must see list For a period of time I'm going to be somewhere in between my first and last names. Made it to Brainerd MN at midnight stopped at a Super 8. Went in to ask and they wanted $83 bucks, but the guy on front desk was really sweet and gave me the corporate rate.$63.:) then stayed up till 4 am doing laundry.
Brainerd, Minnesota, United States chrissybzWe went to Pequot Lakes for the Bean Hole Days fair. It is an annual event in the town where they cook up huge pots of beans in the ground overnight. Andrew joined the long line for beans: he was given a tub of beans, a bread roll and some lemonade. The report back was positive. Shannon and l tried cheese curds, a deep fried fair food. I don't really think I can claim to be a fan ...
Breezy Point, Minnesota, United States andrew_zerinahThe whole group went out to Pine Rivers today for a short horse ride. At the horse ranch there were lots of cute animals: puppies, kittens, goats, donkeys (even small ones), a pig, a cow and of course horses (foals too). The ride lasted about an hour. We went along a nice trail taking in a bit of forest, some fields and a creek. My horse's name was Comanche ...
Breezy Point, Minnesota, United States andrew_zerinah... big that he was knocking things over and causing problems for the villagers, so he decided to leave and become a logger. He was so strong that he could chop down 100 trees with one swing of his axe (but he was also environmentally conscious and planted a tree for each one he cut down). As he left the village, he was walking along in the snow and he saw something blue ...
Breezy Point, Minnesota, United States andrew_zerinah... real, physical things. You get dizzy, short of breath, and you cannot shake the feeling that you're ****ed. We were just above the treeline on Katahdin, where the trail narrows and heads up the next plateau. We were exposed completely on both sides and in front of us was a half mile of huge, huge boulders to climb. I was having a lot of trouble finding the energy to get moving and Andrew was pushing me on. And we both noticed rain in the distance moving toward us. Andrew ...
