Our Zip Car was booked for 10.00am so it was an early start for us with everyone up before 9.00am. Wendy and Chris went to retrieve the Zip Car from a nearby garage before returning to the apartment to pick up Yvonne and Max. Sarah was "working from home" and not joining us on our trip into the country. Just as well as the wheelchair didn't fit in the trunk (boot) of the Cadillac! We were soon on our way weaving through the city streets until we turned on to ...

I need a trim as the ends of my hair are now super dry. We both manage to get appointments on the spot and at the right price. My hairdresser is chatty about having an Aussie friend from Adelaide and Hinesh's hairdresser tells him Chicago is the murder capital (but none of that happens in these areas) of the ...

... and I let out our inner child going on one of the rides. I have never seen Blake so happy haha we both felt extremely dizzy afterwards.
After wandering to the end of thr pier and spending some time in the beer garden we walked back up to get an icecream and find a good spot to watch the fireworks. They started at 10.15 and went for about 10-15minutes. They were awesome!
What a day! Super long but super fun. Chicago has so much to offer!

... as we're on our way down to Chicago, we had to find a random bank that was somewhat nearby to make a quick stop. Thankfully, that was done quickly and easily.
The rest of the ride down to Chicago went smoothly. We stopped and had some Denny's for my last meal in America. How dramatic. In case you were wondering, I had scrambled eggs with cheese, four pieces of bacon, hashbrowns, toast, and my mom's shrimp. I didn't finish the eggs though, ...
