... somewhat bizarre location; the area is dominated by tall buildings; the John Hancock building which is 50% taller than the Shard, stands just a few blocks away. Luckily the sun never goes behind the buildings, so we enjoyed a day of unbroken sunshine, without the high winds we had endured on the beach in Boston. Chicago....amazing, overwhelming, efficient, wonderful skyline, polite inhabitants, super shopping. Highlights included a bus tour in the bitter cold sitting atop in ponchos in the rain, an excellent lake tour, drinking beer on top of the Hancock Tower 96 floors up, witnessing a marriage proposal and a Cubs game.
