Well another dry day yippee. We left Chattanooga on the Interstate 24 ( they are long tree lined corridors, you do not see the country side ) leaving the 24 we joined state road 50, a much nicer route. Whilst driving to Lynchburg we crossed the time line, so now we are 6 hours behind you all. Arriving at The Jack Daniel Distillery, our tour was about an hour and half. More dates and information. Now was it 1836 or 1856! We have run out room in our ...
So, one thing we learned rather quickly is that your itinerary can change when your out on the open road. For instance, if you do not estimate how long it will take to get where your going, coupled with road construction and inclement weather, you will not make it in time for even the last Jack Daniels tour of the day. ... Just like in the movies.
Off to a great steakhouse for dinner, a brief walk away, we notice nothing has changed. The city is still alive with lights, music and people of all ages. Spring break is coming to a close down here and Easter weekend has brought even more activity into the city. Nashville can handle it!
Tomorrow evening we head to the Grand Ole Opry for a show. We are all looking forward to it. Happy Easter everyone.

We decided to move on through Nashville since we wanted a shorter drive to Cherokee the next day. We found a nice little KOA campground near the highway. Walter did the hot tub and swimming and I went for a walk with the dogs. A good time was had by all. We had lost another hour, which made getting an early start the next day challenging. We drove through pretty country toward Cherokee, but that made our short day end up longer than expected.
