It was so hot and humid that we knew it was going to be a good storm chase day, we woke up to 2 super-cells on the radar at 8am! Went to Lincoln for BBQ lunch and to get Laurie's camera cleaned before getting into position around Columbus. ... not pickup. Most of the time none of your phones had any bars. Just as we gong to leave Lewis & Clark Mike called. He was about 35 mile west of La Mars. We were about 25 mile from so we said we would meet there. We got to the Amber motel and Mike was a little behind us. Mexican was our choice for supper. Great food. Today we started the day with a bite of breakfast and then to Walmart to restock the refrigerator. As soon as we were organized we headed off to Mt. Rushmore. They show a video explaining how, why, and by whom the mountain was sculpt in the museum. I really appreciated being given a better understanding while viewing the monument.
