For those of you who haven't heard yet, I am going back to Mexico for a week in December. Rather than staying in Irapuato, I will be staying with two missionaries in Leon. I'll visit with them and their friends for most of the time, however I will head to Irapuato for a day or two to visit my friends there as well!

The hotel was not in the center, but in a (nice looking) subburb. The taxi took me there in 15 minutes and charged only $15.00 Let's just say Amsterdam taxi drivers are not that modest...
My hotel room was already available and so I slept until 11 am. And since the greyhound arrived at 6 am instead of 7 that was one hour longer than expected.

We returned to Betsy's parents house from our time in Mexico. After throwing a few more things away - we took off in our car on a road trip to Cindy Snow's wedding in Arkansas. We visited our friends Bill and Chuck in Cincinnati, then we followed the Ohio river to the Mississipi. We stopped at some small towns along the way like Metropolis (the home of superman).

We left Florida and drove to Berea via Winston Salem so we could visit Jed and Cecilie (Peter's nephew). When we arrived in Berea we spent the month of March getting Betsy's parents house ready to put on the market. The house market in Cleveland is horrible so we thought we better try to sell the house as soon as possible so they would be ready to move into their new retirement apartment in Chagrin Falls when is was completed in the fall.

... all that stored energy found its expression in a resounding ovation. Three more numbers followed, and then two encores. At the end it was plain that those in attendance were thrilled with the concert, for despite the discomfort of a hot and humid summer evening, they seemed to long for more.

So tomorrow I go! I'm a bit stressed trying to pack and take care of all the little loose ends before I leave. I'm flying to New York to spend 4 days hanging out with the guys I lived with my senior year of college (aka 304 Bryant). On the 12th I fly to London and the next night fly to Bankok. I'll write something a bit more interesting once I get on the road and am done with all this preparation nonsense. Cheers.

The final leg of this day ends outside of Cleveland. It is about 10:00pm and we had been driving for about 3-4 hours trying to do the tourist thing by night. Later we would find out that many of the pictures we had taken of this night would be undevelopable. Cleveland, as with Toledo and Chicago before it, had its own 3rd of July festivities. We had intended to stay in Cleveland, but traffic and our fatigue prevented it. Thus, we drove a little past Cleveland and found our final motel there.
