    ... we went to mail the box, see the bank and went to spend Lee's $25.00 he got from his retirement at Cabela's . Back to the camper to update our blog. So just a bit about what we are doing.

    We left Chicago early Saturday morning (9/13). Jeff and Mark made us a nice breakfast, helped us load the car and we were off. First tourist stop was the Spam Museum in Austin, MN. I did not realize Spam does not contain any snout or hoof...just premium pork shoulder. People were walking out with cases of this stuff. ...

    ... This time Mary ordered the Prime Rib and I ordered Buffalo Short Ribs, slowly braised in a barbecue sauce. Both of our meals were fantastic.Mary's Prime Rib was cooked to a perfect medium rare and my Short Rib was as fall off the bone tender as you could ask for.

    No pictures today, it was flat, boring and rainy most of the day. Tomorrow we cross the Minnesota border into Wisconsin and then have Illinois in front of us. Yahoo.

    ... was definitely nearing severe flooding stages as we could only see the tops of trees as we passed by. Minnesota is pretty flat and we saw a number of horse farms as we travelled Interstate 90. Half way through our trip, we got some rain and the sky really was starting to get pretty dark. In addition to the horse farms, there were miles and miles of wind turbines.....they definitely know how to save ...

    ... is but when you follow that little line from Kingston to where we are now it really puts in perspective how far we have come and what we have accomplished! 3 kids, a trailer, 26 states in almost 4 months and the fact we're all still going is so huge!
