... park immediately adjacent to the RV park. The park has trails that lead straight to the Missouri River including some historical markers discussing river boats (and one that sank just off the park). Other items found in the park: A playset for the kids (takes care of that if there are younger ones staying, but not our 12-year old LOL), some picnic areas including BBQ's. Now to rest up--its all baseball tomorrow... ...
... Tim talked a local pizza delivery guy into taking us to the nearest local place to enjoy some relaxation, food, and cold beverages. While there, we met another couple who also loved to ride, and Dave insisted on giving us a ride back to our hotel so again we had no need for a taxi.
Today, we see the Archway in St. Louis and then head off toward Illinois...

... of the line it's 1:05...Ethan (and I, if I'm honest) are getting grouchy from waiting so long and not eating any real food and having nothing to drink and...we find out that the line we were in was just the line to get in line. Now we're in the ACTUAL line that leads to the elevators. So we wait there another 20 minutes and FINALLY we go through the turnstile to the....waiting area for the line to the elevators. Are you kidding me?!?!
Wow!How exciting is this! A Dragon festival on my second day. I wonder what Survival Chinese is all about. Probably everyday Chinese words that will be helpful to know...like "bathroom" and "rice, please" lol. Yea! We get to use Bob Books. I have used Bob Books before so I'm happy ...
... Broken Arrow, what a coincidence.
We managed to pick up a large stretch of Route 66 today; it’s all been hiding closer to the east side of the country. On route we passed through a town called Afton and like many of the places we have seen it was very run down and didn’t look like much happened there anymore. We couldn’t see what work people could possibly have in the area and the houses were derelict.
