We left Chicago early Saturday morning (9/13). Jeff and Mark made us a nice breakfast, helped us load the car and we were off. First tourist stop was the Spam Museum in Austin, MN. I did not realize Spam does not contain any snout or hoof...just premium pork shoulder. People were walking out with cases of this stuff. ...

Well with all the rain and with darkness descending, I chose safety over Packer loyalty and stopped in Austin, Minnesota, where we were treated to watching the Minnesota college game at the sports bar restaurant in the hotel. I wouldn't have minded eating a bad pizza so much if we could have had any other sport to watch, even tennis, but no, every TV was tuned to Minnesota College Football.
