We left Chicago early Saturday morning (9/13). Jeff and Mark made us a nice breakfast, helped us load the car and we were off. First tourist stop was the Spam Museum in Austin, MN. I did not realize Spam does not contain any snout or hoof...just premium pork shoulder. People were walking out with cases of this stuff. ...

... the Midwest. The Walleye was as fresh and tender as any we have ever eaten in Wisconsin. The brown butter was a compliment to the fish and did not mask any of its flavor. Our only complaint was we couldn't finish all of it since the tail end had a lot of bones. That said, we were full by then anyway since we had a really nice salad for an appetizer.
