... I guess they think 70 is slow. We stopped for the night in Monahans, a small town that serves the oil fields and interstate travelers. The local BBQ restaurant was highly recommended on Urban Spoon, but it was closed. That left a Mexican restaurant (we did that last night), a Steak place (saving that for Fort Worth), a Chinese Buffet and the usual fast food options. We ended up at Dairy Queen.

Today we drove from Albuquerque to Roswell (New Mexico). ... someone ask if we were okay. We were and looked at our watch it was 4:50 and then realized we were down there for over 3 hours. It was the 2 Rangers who do final sweep of the cave before locking up for the night and turning off the lights. Beautiful sunset at campsite while sipping a nice cold glass of white wine. Spring Break in caves

... we stopped at Carlsbad caverns. All the challenging tours were booked. But we got to visit the whole cave which is ridiculously huge. Kids visited a lot of caves so they were kind of bored. None the less it is definitely worth visiting. There is a lift to get back us up which is very cool.

Kids got to complete Junior Ranger program there an added bonus. That gets us to the end of the trip.
