    Los Angeles had no appeal for us so we skirted it and headed north to the coast. Ventura was our first glimpse of the Pacific and its famous surfing lifestyle. We spent three days a little further up the coast at Morro Bay Beach. The water was too cold for swimming but the beach provided interesting bird watching – curlews, godwits and willets.

    ... it try. Once the rain stick was dry, it made a wonderful sound.... somewhat LIKE rain... when tilted back and forth. Lily's was one of the most colorful and well-decorated rain sticks. She took her time working on the cover, even though one other little girl tried to get her to hurry up. The result was very nice.

    ... board the bus hungry & dry as a chip. SF airport seems like a city all by itself complete with its own multilayered motorways, 2 or 3 stops within the airport complex itself picking up passengers, then we were off.     San Rafael. About the population size of Devonport, spread across a wide valley, north of the Golden Gate Bridge. We stayed here for 2 weeks, while Amadeo attended Anat Baniel method.
