We got back on the bus at 7:45am for the penultimate time on our way for our last night in Carpinteria. To be honest its quite a while ago now as ive been pretty slack over the last month keeping the blog but we stopped off at a beach on the way at Santa Barbara for a few hours before getting into Carpinteria at 6pm. He looks every bit as imposing in person, although slightly rougher at the edges and not as well dressed. Unfortunately, we are just too Swiss, so we did not approach him for a photo. Such idiots!! I felt so embarassed, even stealing a few pictures from the distance of our car! But of course I regretted it afterwards and am still kicking myself for not asking for a photo :-(

We went out today toward Santa Monica and decided to continue our drive out to Malibu. We drove up the Pacific Coast Highway for a while and checked out the houses etc at Malibu. We stopped at a place where the tourism building us and also where they do their little league. The tourism building was named "Michael Landon".
