We started our day enjoying the free wifi with the kids in our Baraboo hotel while Mom & Dad got ready. The kids are really loving the free wifi on this trip!

... a sudden uprising crossed Jordan off the list. After expending so much time and effort researching those places, we were both a bit loathe to start all over -- and then it hit me: our break happily coincided with Thanksgiving in the US. A quick search revealed that flights were quite reasonable, and after checking with our families, we booked the tickets lickety split.

We took a dream 11-hour Turkish Air flight direct to Chicago. The plane was ...

... Although the castle wasn't nearly as impressive as the one in Salzburg or as ornate as the palaces of Bavaria, it was still an enjoyable location to visit. There were never big crowds and it was even accessible at all times of the day. The Elisabethskirche was another nice site in Marburg. Many of my classes were held at the Center for Middle Eastern and Near Middle Eastern Studies. The CNMS was right next door to the Elisabethskirche. I loved being able ...
