      ... however the security dude on the gate let us go in and take pics. We then found a little mexican place... Menus in Spanish and TV in Spanish... Hmmm big Espanola influence here!! Our GPS 'Mary-Lou was a tad confusing though. At Hubbard she told us it was only 6 hours to Chicago.... Hmmm it was 4 to Indianapolis and another 3 to Chicago!! So here we are at the Holiday inn repacking for our flight tomorrow to LAS ...

      ... renovated several years ago. It looks beautiful from the pictures and just the kind of non-touristy area we were looking for. We have intentionally left our schedule pretty loose so we can take our time, meet the locals, and take advantage of unexpected wonderful moments. We definitely have some must see's and must do's on our list but its pretty great to not feel like we're racing to get to the next stop. Next stop ...

      I trucked it home. The sun went down as we passed the legendary truck stop Mecca of Litchfield. We rode through Springfield and Lincoln and Bloomington and Pontiac. Strangely, we saw the cheapest gas of the entire trip in our own state at Dwight. ($3.19)
