Ok..now don't laugh...I ran back to the restroom and sure enough, my phone was...let's just say...floating as it had fallen out of my back pocket...yep, right there! So on top of no insurance for my surgery, now I had a FRIED PHONE! Just great!

By the next day, we had insurance and approval for surgery AND a new phone! Life ...

... I saw a stream of morbidly obese people filing in and out of the gas station. And it was! The beef brisket was cut super thin and full of smoky, sweet flavor.

We raced along the Missouri River through the productive and beautiful hills of the Katy Trail. I have very fond memories of previous rambling here, but we had no time to stop. Our destination was the zoo 200 miles away.

We made it to the Dogtown neighborhood of St. Louis in time to enjoy two hours of ...

Our last day in Chicago, and so much to choose from. But we decided to head over to the Field Museum. It turns out the museum parking is under Soldier Field, home of the Chicago Bears. Since I didn't know very much about him and the empire he built, ...

    ... literally
stand in a tube & they drop the floor out from beneath you.
The single most exhilarating feeling in the world!

We stayed til dark, which actually made me feel like less
of a traitor to my own. Because as much as there is no
doubting that Six Flags beats anything we have back home
in Australia (MAYBE with the exception of Dreamworld but

So, I was up at 4AM to catch the 7AM Delta flight to Chicago via Minneapolis.

The Delta check-in at Mccarran airport was very cramped. There is not a separation between domestic and international and I ended up in the line to Cairo. These folks had a ton of luggage.

The stop-over in Minneapolis was brief and got back home around 3 in the afternoon.

The next trip I take to Vegas will be for fun.
