... journey, albeit not conducive to photo taking. All you can really see is woods on either side punctuated by a few nice homes, or looking straight down a view of Chattanooga suburbia. The drive up to Lookout Mountain doesn't take long, but reminded me a bit of the drive up to Mt. Dandenong just outside of Melbourne, in Victoria. Beautiful bush countryside within the city limits. We arrived in Chattanooga crossed over to Georgia and gave up on the 127 yard sale. It was fun while it lasted but we are hot any tired and ready for a shower. Settled in to a Motel6 chain one. Cheap Tarif, free ...

... really couldn't believe just how wide the Tennessee River actually is. We followed the river walk for at least 3 miles, it was very well done and will leave a lasting impression on how lovely Chattanooga is. Although very modern in parts, it all blends in to create a nice feel. We could not leave without visiting the Chattanooga Choo Choo, which is basically a venue now for shopping, dining and weddings situated in the old station. ...

... as she bode us a good day. What a difference to yesterday. We carried on our journey, the scenery was far better with woodland and mountains now creating a nicer vista. We were on time to make the Holiday Inn Express by 3pm, but were agonising how England might have fared in the cricket. It's funny how we thought of the worse case scenario and how perhaps Australia could win it against all odds! Nightmares are made of such. As we approached ...
