Great part of this years cabin day was tat we had ZERO learning/meetings anything mandatory! The morning started not until 10am because the were spotty showers so they pushed it back an hour. It was nice to be able to sleep in. We were instructed to carpool and for some ungodly reason we allowed Steve to drive. The man is in a brink of a nervous breakdown at all times so why we did that to him ...
... barely spoke two sentences the entire evening. So we had to rely on ourselves to keep the conversation going. Thank goodness the wine was poured freely, but we didn't get the exclusive aquavit which I had expected. There were also three other couples and the "future cruises" sales woman at the table. We did not have a bad time, just not a very good one. And, since it was second sitting, we didn't leave the dining room until after 10:30, missing the farewell crew ...
... much these kids need....not just the eyes and hands of an OT....so will will be spending time building rapport with staff at the orphanage....and thinking...looking....praying and talking together about what sorts of things that we can do for/bring to/do with the kids and the staff "next time"....which could be.....? Not sure when, but one thought is February!
