    Day 21 - Thursday - my last day in Minneapolis

    ... and then we went into Minneapolis to the Mill Park area where we went into The Guthrie Theatre to have a look around and then we walked across the Stone Arch Bridge. This is a lovely area where they are building a lot of loft and warehouse apartments. I could easily live here! Had a quick drink and snack and then we were lucky to catch a barge going through the huge lock. My choice for my last dinner so we had Dairy Queen!! Very quiet night watching ...

    ... and Will was giving me all the history about Minneapolis as we passed certain places or buildings. He's a fun guy to go around with! We also went into the big Target store here but to my disappointment it was pretty much just the same as the one in Australia... Perhaps slightly bigger in size! We then walked down Nicollet Mall and to the train station where I said bye to Will and caught the train down to the Mall of America! Wow. Just wow. The MOA ...

    The point is, everything turned out alright. The best things happen when we are nervous for what is to come; when we can't predict everything and surprises are bound to occur. To study abroad, I had to decide to leave behind many great people and my cozy life. That will be hard, but I get to follow my heart. It's enlivening, really. ...

    ... and Taksim districts you will not encounter any violence or police in any other part of the city, if you take a taxi from the airport you will not go through those places so I don't see anything to worry about for now. ”

    As of right now, I'm just excited to arrive. Turkey, and Istanbul in particular, are full of a culture I've never experienced before.
