It was dark by now and we had to wait until 9pm for the World of Colour show so we walked around and tried a few rides we didn’t think we would have a chance to do such as Luigi’s Flying Tyres which was a hover craft bumpercar we controlled by leaning different directions. Fun but a bit slow for our liking so we headed back to Paradise Pier to go on the rollercoaster again. But we made a detour to the Little Mermaid ride ...
... of bright colours and fantastic animation. Paradise Pier was a favourite with my first experience front seat of a rollercoaster and even the huge Ferris Wheel surprised us with swinging cages! (even Wayne got a fright). Muppet vision 3D and Soarin' over California shows were also on the top of our list of shows and experiences.
All home and tucked into bed now with soar feet and many happy memories, ready for the next step of our American road ...
... two of the Harbour cruises (North and South). To my good fortune, most of the Pacific Fleet was still in Port and there were four Canadian warships of various sizes also in for exercises.
I really enjoyed seeing the Harbour and the ships again and the weather was also very kind to me. I took many photos and felt the trip was worth the extra trouble.
