After driving up from Lake City, we spent a great weekend with Jamie and Kristen. They made a turkey dinner for us with all the trimmings and we relaxed at their house on Saturday. On Sunday we drove out to the Chickamauga Battlefield National Park, watched a video and toured the park. Today we left Chattanooga and headed down Nickajack Lake. It is really more of a river than a lake. It passes through what is called the Grand Canyon of the east coast. Basically it is a gorge created by a rift that shifted the flow of the Tennessee River into what is now called the Sequatchie Valley. After spending the night on the river, we had to pump and dump at the marina before locking down and making our way to Chattanooga.
